About The Toolip Art Gallery

The Toolip Art Gallery has been a prominent player in the international art scene since 2021. After gaining valuable experience in Barcelona and Budapest, it decided to take the next step and establish itself in Central Europe, in Vienna. The gallery’s versatile space hosts a wide range of events, including solo and group exhibitions, making it a hub of artistic activity and showcasing outstanding artworks by both local and international artists.

With its growing reputation as a benchmark for contemporary art worldwide, Toolip Art Gallery will continue showcasing innovative and thought-provoking art for years to come.

As an organization, Toolip Art Gallery has hosted more than 1,500 international artists. The gallery has also collaborated with renowned art institutions, including the Barcelona Academy of Art, Fundació Vila Casas, Fundació Carmen y Lluís Bassat, Fundació Úniques, and the Hungarian University of Fine Arts.

Located at historic Ballgasse 6 in Vienna, the gallery is housed in the former Zum Alten Blumenstock, a legendary meeting place that has been connected to some of the most important names in the art and cultural world for more than 325 years. Among them are Mozart, Antonio Salieri, Ludwig van Beethoven, Franz Grillparzer, Ignaz Castelli, Arnulf Rainer, Hermann Nitsch, Sol LeWitt, Martin Kippenberger, and Michelangelo Pistoletto, among many others, who either worked there, passed through, or gathered at this historic location.

Being part of such an extraordinary cultural legacy is both an honor and a tremendous responsibility for Toolip Art Gallery.

The gallery is also the founder of the Toolip International Art Contest, one of the most remarkable unbiased art competitions in the world, where artworks take centre stage in a fair and transparent competition.
