BIOGRAPHY OF THE ARTIST
Alexandra Rotar is a visual artist and architect based in Brașov, Romania. Her work explores the silent dialogue between presence and space, drawing on her architectural background and long-standing engagement with painting. Through oil on canvas, she investigates how human absence can transform into a subtle form of presence, embedded in walls, shadows, objects, and silence.
 
Her artistic practice reflects an ongoing inquiry into the thresholds between human life and built space, capturing the echoes of memory, fragility, and what often remains unseen. Rotar’s paintings invite viewers to sense the traces that persist beyond the visible, where presence is felt not through the body, but through its resonance in matter.
