DESCRIPTION
"The Candy Trap – Tempted by Mr. Monopoly" is a reflection of my unease with the seductive mechanisms that shape our world. I chose to portray a young girl, armored in a metallic helmet—both protected and conditioned—confronting a seemingly innocent Mr. Monopoly PEZ dispenser. The dispenser symbolizes the modern "bite of the apple"—the allure of consumerism, wealth, and power—and a system that packages temptation as sweetness, control as play, and manipulation as design. Rather than confronting the viewer directly, I choose seduction as a strategy. I transform familiar childhood symbols into a Trojan horse, revealing the deeper dynamics of power and desire. What first appears playful and innocent gradually reveals the hidden architecture of control. I expose the system through aesthetics—not with a hammer, but with the precision of a scalpel made of light.
