DESCRIPTION
SELF PORTRAIT #4 (RED) is from the Self Portrait Series, 2017
Created in 2017 and originally exhibited at ART ROME – International Art Expo VI, Self Portrait #4 is part of a series of seven self-portraits based on the same photographic image of the artist.
The series was produced using the silkscreen printing process employed by Andy Warhol. Starting from a photographic portrait, the image was transferred to a screen and printed manually, following the traditional Pop Art technique associated with Warhol's work.
Each piece in the series presents the same portrait. The composition remains unchanged, while the color varies from one print to another.
Nearly a decade after its creation, the red version of the series was selected for exhibition in Vienna. The choice coincides with RED, Sari Fishman's upcoming solo exhibition in Tel Aviv, creating an unexpected connection between an earlier work and a current project.
Originally exhibited in Rome in 2017, the series is now permanently displayed in Kiryat Ono, Israel.
