BIOGARPHY OF THE ARTIST
Born in the Soviet Union, Irina Shishkova discovered early refuge in art, a way to make sense of the world through visual language. After four intensive years at an art school in Russia and a formative year studying Sumi-e in Japan, she pursued a successful corporate career in leadership and coaching. Yet, art remained her constant thread.
Her deep understanding of people and transformation, shaped by her own journey through immigration, motherhood, and personal growth, now infuses her paintings. Trained at the US Milan Art Institute, Irina eventually followed her calling to become a full-time artist.
Working from her peaceful studio in Alzenau near Frankfurt, she creates figurative and abstract works that explore growth and renewal. Blending classical techniques with contemporary energy, her art reflects both the visible and hidden stories that shape us. With upcoming exhibitions this fall, Irina Shishkova is emerging as a compelling new voice in contemporary art.
