DESCRIPTION
In "FEET", the gaze is turned downward , not in shame, but in recognition. Barefoot, walking across a smooth surface, Sari moves through a space filled with voices, where the act of looking becomes public, almost casual.
 
There is no intimacy here, no concealment , only the ordinary presence of what is usually forbidden. The blue light holds its quiet contradiction: in Western culture, it has always meant both desire and restraint , the color of what is hidden, the color of what cannot be said.
 
Here, it becomes a field of exposure, a calm acknowledgment of the gaze that lingers where it is not supposed to. Freud described such fixation as a negotiation with guilt, a fragment of desire that finds refuge in detail. Ikkyū, the heretic monk of 15th-century
 
Japan, saw it differently , not as sin, but as awareness: “When you touch, feel completely.” Between them stands “FEET” , not to explain, but to exist, to return what was repressed to the surface of seeing. No metaphor, no confession. Just motion, water, sound. A step into what culture hides , and the quiet understanding that nothing truly human deserves to remain unseen.

Sari Fishman is an internationally recognized multidisciplinary artist and poet whose work bridges art and science. Using materials such as tar, silicone, and enamel, she transforms raw matter into emotional and powerful expressions.
Her art and poetry have been exhibited worldwide and featured in major publications. Based in Israel, Fishman continues to create and exhibit internationally, exploring the connection between thought, emotion, and form.
