DESCRIPTION
This painting began as a small square—about the size of a hand—cut from a larger poster board layered with black, white, turquoise blue, and a deep purply pink. Using wiry hardware store brushes, a dark blue crayon, and kitchen utensils, I created thick and thin lines, daubs, splashes, and impressions. The board was divided into approximately 30 squares; this piece is a scaled translation of one.
