"When Language Fails" is an abstract acrylic on canvas painted in Burnt Sienna and Burnt Umber. The canvas is split in half with the lower half depicting negotiators walking from of an unsuccessful meeting. The top half of the painting has replaced their faces with their thoughts of the consequences of their failed negotiations-war. Margaret Atwood wrote "War is what happens when language fails."
