DESCRIPTION
The photographical elements of the series “Patterns of a Universe” are created using standard lens-based photography. Abstraction — or, more precisely, alienation — emerges through unusual perspectives and experimental camera handling.
These choices yield visual compositions that invite speculation about fantastic elements in space and time. Imagined constructs such as a Dyson Sphere, a shell around a sun to conserve energy; hypothetical systems to gather dark matter yet undiscovered; and glimpses through (black?) holes in the dimensional fabric of space—all of which are not real or discovered, but offer abundant room for dreaming. This work embraces curiosity, play, and the thrill of visual speculation as a way to explore how perception shapes possibility.
