Never written Letters
Here, the rose poses with the shadows of a book I once tried to write. The draft never grew beyond 40 pages, but while grappling with the prose, I managed to compose a great deal of romantic poetry for one girl or another. I never dared to show it to anyone, so in the end, although written, the lines were never sent.
Technically, the “Rose in a Coffin” series is based on a photogram-like approach, where the objects under investigation are placed on a scanning device that takes on the role of traditional photographic paper, as seen in contacts prints (Rayograms) from the Surrealist movement.
