PHILIPP LAUBENDER
DETAILS
Fine art digital photograph, double exposure technique developed in post-
processing.(1/8) Limited edition
30 x 30 cm
2025
DESCRIPTION
Description: This photo is a double exposure. The image of the moon was taken in August 2023, during what is known as the Supermoon. The second photo was captured in the summer of 2024.
The idea to merge the two came to me at the beginning of 2025.In this composition, the moon represents not only the universal and the vast beyond, but also longing, dreams, cycles, and the passage of time.
The human figure, small and vulnerable, walks through the frame as we move through life.
Suspended between reality and dream, alone in the isolation of modern life, and yet still connected to the sky , through longing, through dreams, and through the simple act of looking up.
Presented in a black 30×30 Delta aluminum frame and printed on Fine Art Baryta paper of museum quality, the image is part of a limited edition of 8 prints
