DESCRIPTION
In “The Little Mozart”, Mónica Conde invites us into a tender and imaginative vision of
the young composer. The painting captures Mozart as a child, absorbed in the act of
creation, writing music with a quill while surrounded by the small inhabitants of the
Austrian forests – a fox, a horse, and a little field mouse - who watch in silent harmony.
Through her characteristic style, the artist combines realism and fantasy to evoke the
innocence of childhood and the mystery of artistic inspiration.
The animals, symbols of loyalty and sensitivity, become silent witnesses to the birth of

BIOGRAPY OF THE ARTIST
In the heart of La Garrotxa (Spain), surrounded by volcanoes, gorges and forests, artist Monica
Conde creates from her tiny studio in Les Planes d’Hostoles. As a neurodivergent child,
undiagnosed at the time, she often struggled to connect with people. That’s when she
discovered in animals a natural, barrier-free language: honest, intuitive, and full of
unconditional love. Today that connection has become the very heart of her work- intimate
scenes that show the complicity between childhood and animals, with a timeless quality that
brings us back to what really matters.
 
Although she first studied costume design , something reflected in the care and detail with
which she dresses her characters , it was at an art academy in Girona where she discovered
her true passion: oil painting, the technique that has since defined all of her creations.
For years, she shared her enthusiasm through art workshops with local children, spreading
creativity, joy, and energy. Now she devotes all her time to her most personal project: an
artistic journey that invites us to look at the world through eyes full of tenderness.
