BIOGRAPHY OF THE ARTIST
Ronald Stoecker (b. 1954, Essen, Germany) is a multidisciplinary artist working in digital and analog photography, mixed media, and experimental print techniques. Trained in biology and chemistry, he later studied Photography and Media at the Freie Akademie der Bildenden Künste Essen (fadbk/HBK), graduating in 2021 as a master student of the FM1 class.
Stoecker’s work explores abstraction, boundary-crossing, and experimental perspectives, emphasizing the autonomy of the image through generative photography, conceptual approaches, and diverse imaging techniques. His practice challenges conventional aesthetics and seeks to expand the definition of contemporary photography.
His work has been recognized internationally, including awards and exhibitions at LensCulture (Amsterdam), Artists Space Gallery (NY), Grey Cube Gallery (Texas), Boomer Gallery (London), and numerous shows across Germany.
