BIOGRAPHY OF THE ARTIST
Stephan Janssens lives and works in Waasmunster, in the heart of Waasland, Belgium. He received his formal education at the art school in Sint-Niklaas. Besides his contemporary paintings, in which he plays with shadow and light, his interest in light and technology has led him to create various designs for light fixtures. His passion for light and science led him to experiment with various techniques. Gradually, this craft gave rise to his semi-scientific creations, with themes such as light robots, the light factory, and the Anatomis series.
