BIOGRAPHY OF THE ARTIST
Andrea Onida is an Austrian artist and illustrator born in Rio de Janeiro, with paternal roots in Sardinia, Italy, and Portugal. Drawing has been her passion since childhood, from creating comic strips for classmates to caricaturing teachers in her teenage years. As a student, she published humorous comics in a small newspaper, featuring her character Bicho-Grilo, a hippie who questioned urban progress and already reflected a strong ecological awareness.
Inspired by Paul Cézanne and deeply connected to the landscapes of southern France, Andrea finds in nature a key source of beauty and sensitivity. She currently works as a freelance illustrator, creating storyboards for film directors, and is now focusing on landscape painting, with the goal of capturing extraordinary places around the world.
