BIOGRAPHY OF THE ARTIST
Jordi González Castelló (Barcelona, 1975) is a visual artist, writer, researcher, and educator whose multidisciplinary practice encompasses photography, printmaking, installation, sculpture, film, and literature. Educated at La Massana School of Art, the Jagiellonian University, and the University of Barcelona, he is currently a doctoral researcher in Art History at Pompeu Fabra University, specializing in Art and Nature.
Active internationally since 1998, González Castelló’s early work explored the representation of the body through experimental media and philosophical inquiry. Since 2015, his practice has focused on the relationship between culture and nature, developing projects rooted in Land Art and Arte Povera. His work has been exhibited in Spain and abroad, including participation in the Andorra Art Biennial and environmental art projects in Seoul, South Korea.
Alongside his artistic practice, he teaches at Pompeu Fabra University, works as an ecogardener, and writes essays, poetry, and academic publications. His work explores the intersections of landscape, ecology, culture, and the human body.
