BIOGRAPHY OF THE ARTIST
Ivana Orviska is a Slovak-born painter whose textured oil landscapes explore the fragile beauty of nature and the emotional resonance of place. Inspired by the French Impressionists and her early artistic experiences in wild meadows, she creates atmospheric works that meditate on memory, light, and preservation.
Her paintings, characterized by expressive brushstrokes and layered textures, balance emotion, tension, and poetic stillness. Ivana has exhibited widely across Europe, including Bratislava, Vienna, London, and Prague, and has participated in prestigious residencies such as Château Orquevaux and Château de Cerisay in France.
Her current work focuses on large-scale oil paintings reflecting movement, light, and natural landscapes, emerging from intuitive, spontaneous expression. Ivana divides her time between Slovakia and France, and her works are held in private collections across Europe.
