Oil on canvas

100 x 70 cm

Cecilia Sjolund, a Swedish painter based in Stockholm, brings a unique perspective to her artwork due to her background as an architect. Educated at KTH Stockholm Royal Institute of Technology, Sjolund's architectural training influences her artistic style and approach.

Her paintings often showcase a keen sense of structure, balance, and attention to detail, which can be attributed to her architectural background. She started out working as an architect and then moved on to working as a project manager with urban development projects.

She now works full-time as an artist. The artist's skillful use of traditional oil techniques brings depth and richness to the paintings, while their contemporary perspective adds a unique and fresh touch. Through their compositions, the artist tells insightful stories about small, everyday moments that often go unnoticed. Intimate everyday moments.

Sjolunds's work has been accepted for numerous art fairs, including the London Art Biennale 2021 and 2023, Portrait Now! 2021, The Carlsberg Foundation's Portrait for Nordic Artist, The Summer Exhibition 2022 at The Royal Academy UK, The Chianciano Biennale 2022 and The Prague International Art Exhibition 2023.
