BIOGRAPHY OF THE ARTIST
Ametza Iriza is a self-taught Basque artist whose name, meaning “dream”, reflects her creative philosophy. Trained as a biotechnologist by day and an artist by night, she bridges science and art through deeply emotive portraits of women that embody wisdom, strength, and freedom. Guided by the belief that “paint and you will heal your soul,” Ametza transforms personal experience into a celebration of femininity and resilience.
Her work has been featured in international exhibitions across Budapest, Marbella, Madrid, and Barcelona, and in publications such as revisART and The Holy Art.
