DESCRIPTION
"Nagaranga" is one of the newest paintings at the Toolip Art Gallery.
A painting that was inspired by the beautiful story behind the origin of the word 'orange.'
The story tells of an elephant who once found some oranges and ate them.
Sometime later, a man found the remains of the elephant and noticed an orange tree growing out from the place that once had been the animal's stomach.
Then he exclaimed, 'Nagaranga,' which is Sanskrit for 'poison for elephants'.

BIOGRAPHY
I spent the first years of my life in a completely different culture far from mine. My childhood years were thus spent in the colorful environment of India, in acceptance and spiritual freedom.
Experiencing this contrast between cultures opened my mind, and I believe I am inspired by that when I create. Contrast is, what brings a painting to life, therefore it should connect us instead of separating us.
As an adult, I started creating self-taughtly. My favorite technique is using oil paint on canvas.
Working with oil paint absolutely aligns with my lifestyle and personality. I love living in the moment and giving time to the things that really matter to me.
The topics that concern me are my own visions, dreams, and thoughts, but somehow, they revolve around nature and universal values—values that unify us as humanity.
Connection is something of a high value to me, therefore what drives me are those moments when people look at my paintings and say: ’I know this story.’ Then I know we are connected.
