BIO

Adela Beltran Sancho, Alcanar 1973, Catalonia

Artist and Graphic designer trained in Barcelona.

She has studied different artistic techniques of the methodology of the classical tradition using points of view from different countries and academies from the XIX century to be able to represent time less women. Her technique is marked by her own language and an alphabet of symbols.

The use of oil, acrylic, wax, paper, rabbit glue… with different supports such as wood, linen, cotton, or printed materials which help to interpret the information that the artist wants to express.

Through all physical material, she interprets her thoughts With the aim of making thousands of unknown women seen and heard from our past, women who have been strong, brave, and empowered. Women who are genetically part of today.

Continuously using the elements transferred from the past to the present, giving women the current importance that they did not have in their time.

All people who feel like women, are represented in this series called “Women of the 1700s”.

Adela has held individual and group exhibitions in public spaces, and she also works in private collections and foundations.
